Privacy Policy

SHUGYO is designed with privacy as a priority.

• Your training records (categories, exercises, values, notes, dates), language, and theme settings are stored locally on your device only.
• SHUGYO does not require account registration and does not collect your name, email address, or location.

SHUGYO offers optional AI features: the AI Coach and the AI Goal Assistant.

What data is sent: When you use these features, the text messages you type and the relevant training records needed to generate a response are transmitted.

Who it is sent to: This data is sent to Anthropic, Inc. (the Claude API), the third-party AI service provider that generates the coaching responses and goal suggestions.

How it is collected and used: The data is transmitted only when you actively use an AI feature, and only after you have given your consent within the app. It is used solely to generate the AI response shown to you. SHUGYO does not store this data on its own servers.

Anthropic processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, which provides protections comparable to those described in this policy. Data submitted through the Anthropic API is not used to train Anthropic's models.

Before any data is sent to the AI service, SHUGYO asks for your explicit consent within the app the first time you use an AI feature.

• If you do not consent, no data is sent and the AI features are not used. All other features (recording, statistics, history, manual goals) remain fully available.
• You can withdraw your consent at any time from the Settings screen. After withdrawing, AI features will request your consent again before sending any data.

• We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or location.
• We do not require account registration.
• We do not use tracking technologies or advertising IDs.

SHUGYO uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic, Inc. (Claude API) — used to generate AI Coach responses and AI Goal suggestions. The text you enter and relevant training records are transmitted to Anthropic to produce a response. Anthropic provides data protection comparable to that described in this policy.

We share data with these third parties only to provide the features described above, and we confirm that these providers offer comparable data protection.

If you subscribe to SHUGYO Premium, subscription data is managed by Apple.

All personal data is stored locally on your device.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

You can delete all your data at any time by:

• Uninstalling the app
• Using the data reset option in the Settings screen

As all data is stored locally, no further request to us is necessary.

SHUGYO is intended for users aged 4 and above.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

SHUGYO complies with major privacy regulations:

• CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
• Personal Information Protection Act of Japan

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Continued use of SHUGYO after changes means you accept the updated policy.
